Christmas Holidays December 22 - January 4

Welcome to the website of Christ the Teacher Catholic Schools

Our Division operates nine Catholic separate schools in the cities of Yorkton and Melville and village of Theodore in East Central Saskatchewan.  We serve the educational needs of over 1800 students from Pre-Kindergarten to grade 12.  French Immersion programming is offered in both Yorkton and Melville. In Yorkton, our high school programming is provided at Sacred Heart High School and in Melville our high school students are educated at the Melville Comprehensive High School through a partnership agreement with the Good Spirit School Division.

We invite you to explore the website of our Division and each of our schools.  Doing so, we believe, will help you to understand how we are working to fulfill our mission, "Centered in Faith ... Creators of Hope ... Founded in Love."

If you have any questions about any of our schools or educational programming, please contact us directly and we would be happy to provide the information you are looking for.

Schools raise funds for African school

Last year we committed ourselves to working with teachers and students in the Division and with Christian Child Care International and became a major sponsor in building a primary school in Kamuwongo, Mwinga, Kenya.

Each school set a goal to reach, based upon its enrolment, so that as a Division we hoped to reach $15,000 to $20,000 over a year time frame, with a variety of fundraising projects within the schools.  After only 7 months we had reached our goal and raised $18,700 and presented a cheque in June. To date the Division has raised over $19,400 for this project.

We Believe...

The Creed is a declaration of our Catholic faith and articulates clearly what we believe as Christians.

Visitors to each of our schools will be welcomed by this beautiful testament to our Faith and mission.  The original picture was taken by a student from Sacred Heart High School while on the annual Outdoor Education canoe trip on the Churchill River System in Northern Saskatchewan.

The words of the Nicene Creed were chosen to represent and affirm the commitment of our schools, students, staff, families, Board, and communities to the mission of the Catholic Church.
